Gunslingers: The Road Ahead!
When Gunslingers was launched, we could have only hoped for such an enthusiastic and supportive community as the one we have today. Our main goal was to provide a space and utility more in line with a more subdued and organic approach to the space. We see projects nearly every week get overhyped, mint out in minutes, and leave everyone a bit confused and potentially holdin’ a big ol’ bag o’ nothing after just 24 hours. Nobody wants that! So in saying all that, we’d really like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters and holders in our journey so far, and appreciate everyone hitchin’ up their horse outside our saloon!
Now let’s dig into the details! As you can see above, the roadmap is only partially revealed…
- Music Video: Our very first Gunslinger focussed music video will be released shortly. Having been in the works since before our initial launch, its purpose is more in the realm of building out the brand and getting more eyes on the project. The first of many animated goodies in the Gunslinger universe…
- Website: A brand new Gunslingers website will help to showcase exactly what the project has evolved into since our initial launch, as well as a hub for everything Gunslingers and more info about the team and what we are doing. A lot of people have been asking about more info on the project and team, so this is the spot where you can get all the info you could ever need, and more!
- Town: Gunslingers have been working closely with Jaboto from the Robotos team on building out our microverse town, as well as establishing some deep Gunslinger integration into their systems. This will be an ongoing build, with help from the community on how they see the town evolving. We have hopes of integrating future events into the town including Town Halls, premieres, horse minting, and hoedowns! - Ranches: Building on the above Town, we are planning on creating a space for each Gunslinger to lay their head at night, host their own hootenannies, and show off their horses and any other goodies they get airdropped. This is still very early stages, but one of the things we’re most excited about implementing for our holders!
- Horses: Neigh, neigh, neigh…horses are coming soon! “Every cowboy needs a horse.” You’ve heard it time and time again, but now you’ve seen the actual design as showcased in our Town Hall and in the Gunslingers Microverse Town. We’re still working out the exact specifics of how the horses will integrate into the longterm Gunslinger journey, but can confirm that horse companions will be our next big drop along the roadmap. The horses will be their own separate collection, as to not dilute the scarcity of the original Gunslingers collection.
- Dueling: Finally! Pew pew pew! Dueling is happening. And it’s gonna be a real hoot. We have a small team of developers on board to help build out a Dueling game where you can battle other holders slinger vs slinger. Initially we will be rolling out a beta version of the game for testing and feedback, before implementing larger functions such as monthly tournaments and prizes (in many different forms…)
- Airdrops: Airdrops galore! As a heavily art focussed project, what better way to give back to our community than free art airdrops. We’re always looking at ways to reward our holders in fun and creative ways, and want to utilise the airdrop functions to pinpoint specific holders with fun little surprises in their wallets from time to time. Again, this is still early days and we will update y’all closer to some airdrop dates.
- Collaborations: Another way we want to reward our community is through collaborations with other projects and artists. Whether that’s through airdrops as stated above, or through pre-sale lists for upcoming projects. We’re constantly reaching out to upcoming drops and reviewing our own project collab requests looking for the best quality projects to collaborate with, and will continue to do so!
We’ve refrained from adding timelines to our latest roadmap (more of a ‘road ahead’ situation than an official plan). This is namely due to the fact the NFT space is constantly evolving and adapting and we never know where the track may take us! We may want to reprioritise certain aspects, or add in extra roadmap points from time to time. As we move forward, we’ll always be assessing the best possible action for the overall benefit of the project and the community.
Like our journey so far, we will always attempt to live by the classic: “under-promise and over-deliver”.
It’s also worth noting, this isn’t ALL we have planned for y’all! We’ve definitely got a number of secret roadmap items and drops that’ll be comin’ at ya from round the corner, guns blazing. (Moonshine, games, animated shorts, snake oil, bounty hunts, prospecting…). This is the Wild West, cowpoke. Polish that gun, and ready your saddle.
